Duty Shift Engineer (Μηχανικός Βάρδιας)

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino within the Engineering Department in Pylos, the Duty Shift Engineer is responsible for overseeing and performing maintenance, repairs, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems, while adhering to safety standards and addressing any issues or guest requests promptly. The Duty Shift Engineer reports to the Engineer Supervisor.

As Duty Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Carry out maintenance, repair, and replacement work according to Mandarin Oriental engineering standards and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering supervisors and colleagues to complete tasks as per policies and operational schedules.
• Respond professionally to guest requests, aiming to exceed expectations.
• Maintain plant checklists, records, and support emergency response efforts.
• Report discrepancies and unresolved issues to supervisors and the Chief Engineer.
• Ensure safe storage of tools and maintain cleanliness in work areas.

As Duty Shift Engineer, we expect from you: 

• EU Passport or valid Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
• Degree in the mechanical field will be considered as a plus.
• 3 years' experience in a similar role.
• Fluency in English or Greek.
