Μachine Shop Leader

to join our Machinery team in Drama.

About the Role

The Machine Shop Leader oversees production operations, ensuring components meet design specifications. They supervise and train staff, coordinate schedules, address equipment needs, and resolve in-process issues while optimizing workflows and maintaining quality standards in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Machine shop’s Team leaders and machine operators to produce product components that follows design specifications
• Overall schedule of department’s assignments and acts as technical advisor to Team Leaders
• Coordination with other departments’ supervisors for production flow issues
• Evaluates the performance of subordinate level workers
• Conducts time and costing studies
• Ensures and verifies documentation is in order and understood, such as production drawings, BOM’s, production orders
• Responsible for addressing equipment needs
• Responsible for in-process issues
• Supervises machine tools’ maintenance operations and provide technical support to Team Leaders
• Train new employees and assist with facility lay-out and workflow

Required academic background, knowledge and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required (Polytechnic School)
• 3+ years of hands on experience in a manufacturing environment (machine shop floor)
• Knowledge of sheet metal and solid part processing equipment
• Experience in CNC programming (turning center, milling center)
• Experience in 3D design software, preferably SolidWorks
• Excellent knowledge of English (oral & written)
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (word, excel, ppt), SAP is considered a plus
• Able to work in rotating shifts
