Procurement and Quality Management Specialist (Ref. 5856/PQMS/RS/GR)
Overview:
The Procurement and Quality Management Specialist will be responsible for sourcing chemical raw materials, securing reliable suppliers and negotiating optimal terms while ensuring the highest quality standards and regulatory compliance. This role plays a key part in optimizing costs and maintaining product excellence through effective quality management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, evaluate and select chemical raw material suppliers based on quality, cost and reliability.
- Participate in negotiating contracts, prices and delivery terms to optimize procurement costs and supplier performance.
- Monitor inventory levels and plan procurement activities in alignment with sales forecasts and business needs.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers, conducting regular evaluations.
- Oversee quality control processes, including inspection, testing and approval of raw materials to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Ensure all procurement and quality activities comply with industry regulations, safety standards and internal procedures.
- Manage and maintain quality documentation such as supplier certifications and supplier evaluation records.
- Investigate and resolve quality complaints with corrective and preventive action plans.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including quality disruptions and delivery delays.
- Collaborate closely with sales, third-party production, R&D, and finance teams to align procurement and quality processes with business objectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
