Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino
Located on the southwest coast of the Peloponnese, one of the most unspoiled and breath-taking landscapes in the Mediterranean, and 45 minutes’ drive from Kalamata International Airport.
The beachfront resort is part of the sustainable resort destination of Costa Navarino, a well-established tourism destination which includes 3 other resorts. It comprises of 99 suites and villas, all with outdoor terraces and sea views, along with seven restaurants and bars.
Scope of Position:
The Spa Therapist is responsible for enlightening the guests on various body treatments, massage techniques, and spa services and for customizing the massage treatments as per the guest’s requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supports Mandarin Oriental’s philosophy and culture, using Guiding Principles and the Pillars of Legendary Quality Experiences daily to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement.
- Performs treatments on guests whilst maintaining the guest’s comfort at all times.
- Is on time for appointments and thoroughly reviews appointments after completing each treatment
- Keeps work area clean and neat at all times.
- Follows all Standards and Procedures.
- Ensures that a high standard of service is maintained throughout the Spa.
- Assists in the operations of all spa departments as required: Front Desk, Spa Retail Area, Relaxation Ares, Sales and Marketing, Spa Suite, In-room.
- Reports dysfunctional equipment to Head of Department.
- Maintains inventory of supplies for the operations of the treatment rooms.
- Maintains cleanliness and attention to detail in treatment room throughout the day.
- Attends daily line-ups, weekly and monthly spa meetings.
- Maintains a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene as lay down by the Head of Department.
- Attends all training courses as deemed necessary.
- Performs all treatments to the highest standards.
- Assists in all areas of the spa as and when necessary e.g. Relaxation area and Reception
- Recommends and up-sells spa products and services that fit the guests' needs.
- Responds to guest requests immediately, accurately, and appropriately.
- Maintains a daily record of all guest requests, reservations and confirmations.
- Offers the highest level of personalized service while maintaining a gracious, enthusiastic, helpful an professional attitude with all guests and colleagues.
- Maintains a clean, safe, stocked and well organized work area.
- Assists in all areas of the spa operation as directed by management.
Qualifications / Experience:
- EU Passport or valid Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a licensed spa therapist in a luxury hotel.
- Fluency in English.
- License in Physiotherapy or related field is mandatory.
- Working knowledge of skin care therapies, beauty products and trends.
