Assistant Accountant

SPEEDEX, a member of Sfakianakis Group, with a presence of 35 years in the field of courier services, as one of the largest companies in the sector with a nationwide network of 200 stores, is looking for an Assistant Accountant:

Assistant Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Handles daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, invoicing and bank reconciliation
• Manages account reconciliations for Customers & Suppliers
• Posts expenses and general accounting entries
• Assists with monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements and reports
• Ensures compliance with internal accounting procedures and timelines
• Participates in the submission of tax returns and tax audits
• Liaises with authorities (such as banks, accountants and auditors)

Requirements:

• BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 2+ years of professional experience in a relevant role
• Advanced Knowledge of MS Office
• Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken)
