Are you friendly, outgoing, passionate, and able to relocate? On behalf of our client, a boutique resort nestled in the heart of Corfu, we are seeking a Head Waiter to join and lead a dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership and organizational skills, a passion for delivering exceptional service, and the ability to oversee and elevate the dining experience for guests while effectively managing team operations.

  • 8 and a half working hours per day, including a 30 minute break
  • One day off per week.
  • All wages and benefits as required by law.
  • Three meals per day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

The Role:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the restaurant team to ensure seamless service.
  • Create and manage weekly staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings to update staff on daily goals, VIP guests, and menu changes.
  • Welcome guests warmly and ensure their dining experience exceeds expectations.
  • Provide detailed menu information, assist guests with special requests, and handle inquiries or complaints professionally.
  • Train and mentor team members, promoting collaboration and maintaining high standards of service.
  • Oversee proper setup and breakdown of service stations and dining areas.
  • Monitor service flow, ensuring staff maintain consistency during peak periods.
  • Collaborate closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
  • Promote upselling opportunities by recommending menu specials, wine pairings, and additional services.
  • Address operational challenges promptly, including last-minute schedule adjustments or guest requests.
  • Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Step in to assist with orders or serve guests during high-demand times.

  • Proven experience in a similar role within high-end hospitality.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, especially under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to bridge management and staff.
  • Organizational and multitasking proficiency to handle schedules and team operations.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage trends, service etiquette, and fine dining standards.
  • Flexibility to adapt quickly to unexpected challenges during service.
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage).
