Key Account Manager (5852/KAM/ESS/GR)

Position Summary:

The Account Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities. This role involves developing trust-based relationships, executing strategic sales plans, managing orders and inventory, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, develop and maintain strong, trust-based and long-lasting client relationships
  • Overseeing customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profit
  • Manage an existing portfolio of major clients by conducting regular sales visits and business reviews with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify growth opportunities
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans tailored to each key account
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed targets
  • Oversee the planning and coordination of orders and deliveries and ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations, ensuring optimal stock levels
  • Provide exceptional customer service and manage client complaints effectively
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Conduct market research and analyze competition to identify opportunities and threats

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager or relevant role for at least 5 years
  • Solid experience with CRM, ERP systems and MS Office (particularly MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Very good knowledge of English language
  • Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Availability for travelling
