Actionline, on behalf of one of the largest global fashion brands (Italian company), is seeking an
Assistant Store Manager for its store at
McArthurGlen.
Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and managing a well-organized store to maximize profitability. Act as a role model for the team, ensuring high-level customer service and strong sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- 👗 Customer: Manage store promotions, ensuring the team is well-informed about all offers. Focus on visual merchandising and stock management. Set high customer service standards and effectively communicate the company’s heritage and values to customers. Train the team on excellent sales practices.
- 🏬 Store Environment: Assist the Store Manager in boosting store productivity, particularly focusing on best-selling products. Organize daily/weekly meetings with staff, set clear goals, and ensure stock levels and service standards are consistently met. Conduct store walkthroughs and provide feedback to maintain high standards.
- 👥 People Management: Review staff performance daily through observation and feedback. Mentor and train new employees and continuously coach the sales team. Support the Store Manager in recruitment and staff retention processes. Help address performance issues and conduct performance evaluations.
- ⚙️ Operations: Manage store processes and adhere to operational guidelines. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and store policies. Step in for the Store Manager when required. Provide solutions after audits or management meetings and ensure consistent application of company guidelines.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2 years of experience in fashion retail, with at least 18 months in a supervisory or management role.
- Skills: Strong leadership, sales-driven mindset, organizational abilities, and excellent communication.
- Desirable: Knowledge of stock management, retail dynamics, basic visual merchandising, and familiarity with retail management software.
- Bonus Skills: Financial management experience (e.g., reading profit and loss reports), proven ability to lead teams to achieve common goals, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
