The Senior Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for taking autonomous decisions when protecting the organization's computer systems, networks, and data from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction. Furthermore the Senior of Senior Cyber Security engineer takes the role of Incident Response being in the first line of Cyber Attacks on clients' incidents. The role demands strong knowledge of various hardware and software experience since he consults important customers with big infrastructure. The Engineer also participates in the Research and Development of new services and solutions.
This includes finding ways and new methods in implementing security measures, monitoring and analyzing security breaches, and responding to security incidents.
Also, the Senior Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for training colleagues and supervising their actions.
Daily Tasks:
- Resolving critical issues regarding Cyber Security Issues or Technical Problems
- Respond to security breaches of customers (on-site or remote)
- Handling SIEM/SOC Alerts and taking action
- Training and supervising Junior Cyber Security Engineers
- Implement and maintain security controls to protect the organization's systems, networks, and data
- Perform risk assessments, gap analysis, vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for various frameworks (like NIS2, ISO27001 etc)
- Participate in incident response and forensic investigations
