Keen to further empower our team by onboarding more talent, we're looking to hire an experienced Senior EHS Engineer to join our EHS Department. The role is responsible for a specific area of the plant by developing safety policies to minimize risks, outlining safety procedures and ensuring regulatory compliance with federal occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
The position is based in Xanthi, Greece.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role includes:
- Providing EHS expertise and leadership to a specific area of the plant
- Developing, maintaining, and updating facility health, safety, and environmental programs, procedures, records, and documents
- Ensuring facility compliance with all applicable regulations and standards
- Coordinating health, safety, and environmental projects with other departments/functions, recommending and implementing methods to increase health, safety compliance and reduce/eliminate identified risk
- Conducting risk assessments, developing and implementing action plans. Conducting routine follow up on changes to ensure compliance to the standards
- Accidents and incidents management: Addresses accidents and safety incidents, investigates their causes and recommends measures to prevent recurrence
- Leading investigations into workplace incidents, formulating corrective action plans, and equipping Supervisors and Managers with improved investigative skills through targeted training
- Organizing and executing comprehensive training sessions on health, safety, and environmental protocols
- Helping to create an engaging environment around EHS and to establish a safety-oriented culture with strong involvement of each employee
