ICAP Executive Search & Selection on behalf of its client, a Leading Multinational IT Consulting Company, is seeking for a Java Developer, to join their highly qualified software development team.


Java Developer (5340/JDE/ESS/GR)

Locations: Athens/Thessaloniki


Job Overview:

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications for global clients across various industries. Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain efficient, reliable, and scalable Java applications based on client requirements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including senior developers, project managers, and business analysts to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Conduct unit and integration tests to ensure the quality and functionality of the software, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bugs in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with peers for code reviews and offer constructive feedback to improve the overall quality of the codebase.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for reference, including design documents and user guides.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Java frameworks, tools, and technologies, and apply them to enhance software performance and capabilities.


Απαραίτητα Προσόντα

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in Java development, working with large-scale applications.
  • Proficiency in Spring Boot for building RESTful services and microservices architecture.
  • Experience working with IDEs such as Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM tools like Hibernate.
  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git for source code management.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., Angular, React) is a plus.
  • Experience in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.
  • Ability to work effectively within teams, participate in brainstorming sessions, and offer creative solutions.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies and industry best practices.
