Room Division Manager.
Koia is a 51-room exclusive hotel, it is consisted by separate rooms such as small villas, all are sea view, 38 of them have private swimming pools. We are seeking for:
The ideal candidate is required to adapt the concept, to maximize and exceed guest’s satisfaction by providing highly personalized, efficient and responsive service with attention to details, by anticipating guest’s needs and according to hotel's quality standards.
Your responsibilities:
- Learn the concept, adapt the policies of the reception and spa department with the concept, train the staff on the concept, monitor the staff regarding the storytelling of the concept to the clients and the relative efficacy
- Manage and supervise the Front Desk, Guest Relations, Spa, Housekeeping, Reservations, Boutique store
- Delivery maintenance issues and controlling the solving
- Effective Room allocation
- Checks the transfer program of the guests
- Manage the accounts and the invoices of all the partners
- Greet guests courteously upon arrival
- Handle guest needs, inquiries and requests
- Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information
- Ensure that all pertinent information is recorded on registration card, reports daily activity on log book
- Conduct check-in and check-out procedures
- Maximize occupancy, manages sales, rates and revenues, in order to meet financial targets
- Develop strategies, packages, products, and sales techniques to maximize revenues
- Promote in house sales and sales of the cooperators, for Spa, room upgrades, restaurant, hotel experiences
- Train the staff on how to sell and monitor them for their efficiency
- Evaluate customer satisfaction and sets and ensures departmental goals
- Monitor the standards and performance of the staff under control, trains them and ensures that all department staff know everything about the room categories and amenities provided
- Recruit and train staff for the department providing guidelines and ensuring they comply with hotel standards and health and safety regulations
- Participate in events organized about clients
- Supervise the good operation and communication of the departments
- Assist in other departments when deemed necessary
- Supervise and check main courante and room accounts
Required Skills:
- Degree in Hospitality Management / Tourism Management would be a plus
- Excellent command of Greek and English language, German is highly desired, knowledge of additional languages is a plus
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet applications and the use of social networks.
- Knowledge of Protel PMS will be much appreciated.
- Similar working experience in hospitality industry, especially in 5-star hotels
- Ability to give clear, concise instructions
- Proactive work style
- Ability to work well under pressure and keep calm in difficult situations
- Effective management, leadership, organizational & cooperation skills
- Prioritization skills necessary to meet deadlines & achieve quality and financial goals
- Customer-oriented approach and exceptional communication skills
- Presentable and well dressed strictly wears hotel’s uniform only, well ironed and cleaned daily. The maintenance and the cleanliness of the uniform is staff’s responsibility
