leading company Waste Management and Waste-to-Energy in Greece. It is a rapidly
growing company focusing on providing zero waste solutions to its diverse
customer base. It is based in Athens and Markopoulo with plants in Thiva,
Tripoli and Thessaloniki.
Kafsis is
seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality and Internal Operations Manager to join our dynamic team, based in Markopoulo, in Attica.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continuous
improvement of our operations and maintain the highest standards of quality
across all departments. The role is reporting to the CFOO.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the company’s quality assurance
processes to ensure compliance with ISO standards and regulations
- Develop, implement and optimize internal processes and
workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of current
processes, making recommendations for improvement
- Prepare and submit the annual Electronic Waste
Register to the relevant public platform, ensuring timely reporting
- Lead and support internal audits and inspections to
ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve
quality-related issues and implement corrective actions
- Provide training and guidance to staff on quality
standards, best practices and internal processes
- Act as a liaison between departments to ensure smooth
communication and alignment on process improvements
- Coordinate and manage contracts with external
providers, including occupational doctors and safety technicians
- Manage the company’s insurance contracts, including
the preparation and renewal of insurance policies
- Provide support for research programs,
including coordination and documentation to ensure successful execution
- Assist in licensing and
regulatory processes, ensuring compliance with legal and industry requirements
- Organize and coordinate
volunteer initiatives and corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities,
engaging employees in meaningful volunteer work and fostering a positive
company culture
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering or a
related field.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO,
Six Sigma, Lean, SAI etc.)
- Proven management experience, with ability to take
initiative, set priorities, perform tasks and manage multiple activities with
no guidance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills, with
the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
- Highly motivated, detailed-oriented, and able to plan,
coordinate and execute tasks
- Ability to provide timely solutions and respond
quickly and effectively to operations and logistics problems
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Word and Microsoft
