ICAP Executive Search on behalf of its client, a Bank that started operating as a specialist financier in the Shipping sector and alongside its core market, has extended its activities in Corporate Finance, Trade Finance, Renewable Energy Lending, Commercial Real Estate Lending and Private Banking, is seeking for an IT Operations Specialist to join their team.

IT Operations Specialist (5785/ITOS/ESS/GR)

The IT Operations Specialist will be responsible for streamlining daily operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of the banking applications. The candidate should be skillful at problem-solving and managing time effectively across various tasks. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with team members and vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing day-to-day operations of the IT Banking applications team ensuring the availability and reliability of system
  • Use a variety of tools (Grafana, Zabbix, E-mail alerts, application specific tools) to monitor the system
  • Ensure application and service processes and outputs are error free and complete
  • Set-up and monitor automated jobs in a central scheduler
  • Create and maintain procedures and protocols (e.g., checklists) for banking applications
  • Liaise with employees and vendors to ensure seamless operations
  • Work closely with other bank departments to ensure problem-free user operations
  • Perform maintenance, and support tasks including patching and release management
  • Ability to diagnose & address application issues
  • Assist in software upgrade, migration projects and auditor’s requests as assigned
  • Ensure continuity of the business processes supported by one or many applications / services
  • Set-up new users, terminate or modify access rights upon request

Απαραίτητα Προσόντα

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of T24 or other banking applications working experience
  • Strong knowledge of RDBMS such as MySQL, MS SQL Server
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as SQL, Python, or Shell
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management processes
  • Any knowledge of scripting languages, application stacks (such as LAMP), build tools or database monitoring tools will be considered an asset
  • Proven organizational skills, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiatives
