Housekeeper

Reports to: Rooms Division Manager
Job Summary:
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness,
orderliness, and overall presentation of the hotel. This role ensures that all
guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet the highest standards
of cleanliness and hygiene. The Executive Housekeeper will lead a team of
housekeeping staff, manage schedules, and maintain inventory of cleaning
supplies and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise
and manage housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient operations and quality
service.
- Inspect
guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure
cleanliness standards are met.
- Inspect
employees’ rooms in the beginning, during and at the end of season.
- Ensure
proper inventory management of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment.
- Train and
motivate housekeeping team members.
- Manage and
oversee room assignments, guest requests, and the overall guest experience.
- Collaborate
with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain
health and safety standards in all housekeeping activities.
- Handle
guest complaints and requests related to housekeeping services in a
professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Education:
Tourism diploma or equivalent required. Additional certifications in
hospitality or management are a plus.
- Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping, with at least 2 years in a
supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong
leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Exceptional
attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to
work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a
fast-paced environment.
- Proficient
in using housekeeping management software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong
communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge
of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to
handle sensitive guest issues with discretion and professionalism.
