Job Role: As a Restaurant Captain at Miraggio
Thermal Spa Resort you play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless and
exceptional dining experience for our guests. You are responsible for
supervising the dining room staff, coordinating service, and maintaining the
highest standards of service quality and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Supervision: Oversee the restaurant's front-of-house staff. Provide guidance, direction, and
performance feedback to maintain a professional and motivated team.
- Service Coordination:
Coordinate guest seating, table assignments, and table turnover to ensure
efficient service and guest satisfaction. Collaborate with the host/hostess to
optimize seating arrangements.
- Guest Welcome: Greet
and welcome guests, ensuring a warm and professional demeanor. Assist in
seating guests and addressing any special requests or accommodations.
- Menu Knowledge: Be
well-versed in the restaurant's menu, including daily specials, wine
selections, and cocktail offerings. Describe and recommend menu items and
beverages to guests.
- Order Accuracy: Verify the accuracy of orders before they are served to guests. Ensure that
presentation and service meet the restaurant's standards.
- Guest Assistance:
Address guest inquiries, concerns, and requests, providing efficient solutions
while maintaining a high level of service quality.
- Table Maintenance:
Monitor table setup, cleanliness, and organization to ensure that each table
meets the restaurant's standards. Assist in resetting tables for the next
guests.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen staff
to ensure food orders are prepared and served promptly. Communicate guest
preferences, dietary restrictions, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Guest Recognition:
Develop and maintain relationships with regular guests, recognize repeat
customers, and provide personalized service to enhance the dining experience.
- Reservations: Manage reservations, ensuring
optimal table allocation and seating plans. Record reservation details and
maintain an organized reservation system.
- Sales and Upselling:
Promote menu items, special promotions, and wine selections to enhance the
guest experience and increase revenue.
- Safety and Cleanliness:
Enforce health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and responsible
alcohol service. Address safety concerns and emergencies effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's
degree in hospitality, tourism, or a related field is preferred.
- 2-3
years minimum experience on similar position , leadership in hospitality
strongly required
- Excellent
knowledge of Greek and English languages. Third language will be considered
accordingly.
- Exceptional
communication
- Familiarity
with POS (Point of Sale) systems for order processing and cash handling.
- Ability
to prioritize tasks, work under pressure with provided resources, manage
workload using own initiative and sufficiently cover a multitask position.
- Availability
to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
