Web Developer

GEOSYSTEMS HELLAS S.A., a Geoinformatics company based in Pangrati (Athens), is seeking a Web Developer to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Analyse the needs – design, develop and test software

• Improve already developed applications

• Develop, document and demonstrate solutions (documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code).

• Determine system specifications and standards

Core Technologies for This Role

• Front-end Web Technologies (Essential)

• JavaScript, TypeScript

• Next.js, React

• HTML/CSS

Backend Development Technologies/Protocols (Highly Preferred)

• Python/Flask/FastAPI

• PostgreSQL, MongoDB

• REST API

• Docker, Nginx

Additional Knowledge (Nice to Have)

• Geospatial Libraries: Mapbox GL JS, Leaflet.js, Deck GL, Turf.js

• Web Services: AWS, Azure

• Design Tools: Figma, Inkscape

• Previous working experience with geospatial data

Other Tools

• VS Code, VIM, Git/GitHub/GitLab, Asana

• Windows Management, Linux basics

• Leverage the power of AI coding assistants

Assets

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering or related technical field

• At least 1 year of previous experience in Web Development

• Delivery within schedule and other constraints

• Communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

• Fluent communication in English, especially written

• Experience with testing methodologies
