The ideal candidate will possess the following
qualifications:
- minimum 8- 10 years of experience in the post
fixtures/freight collections department of a shipping company with bulk
carriers
- bachelor’s degree ideally in Law or BSc/MSc in Maritime/Shipping
Management. A relevant master’s degree will be highly acknowledged
- strong
ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize requirements to meet
deadlines
- excellent command of the English language and industry standard
computerized ERP systems
Main Duties:
- responsible for overseeing all
operational matters 24/7, including monitoring communications between
charterers and owners implementing charter party terms, preparing laytime
calculations, handling bills of lading/LOI issues
- preparing freight and hire
debit notes and resolving charter party disputes at an entry level under the
guidance of the operations manager
- providing all necessary supporting
material to Claims Department when a dispute cannot be settled amicably, or
legal actions are required
- collaborating closely with the accounting
department to monitor outstanding receivables and credits
- prepare actual
voyage results as well as voyage estimations
- familiar with the EUA’s trading
and its implementation in the CP's
