The team at the Kassandra Bay Resort, Suites & Spa in Skiathos is expanding and seeking to hire individuals for the position of Cashier for the upcoming summer season of 2025.

Responsibilities

• Perform transactions through the POS system
• Keep the “register station” stocked with all necessary items
• Notify management of all guests’ POS System issues
• Consistently maintain a balanced cash drawer
• Process all guests’ payments by cash, credit cards, debit cards and/or gift vouchers
• Reconcile, investigate and correct any cash and credit card discrepancies
• Ensuring each waiter closes up any open checks they might have before their shift is over
• Performing all calculations including but not limited to CC Total, Cash Total and Tips Total
• Processing end of service calculations, doing end of shift and end of day revenue calculations
• Maintain knowledge of hotel outlet layout, table/seat/section numbers, proper table setups, hours of operation, price range and dress code, daily house count, arrivals, departures,
• Answer telephone promptly, using correct salutations and telephone etiquette.
• Be familiar with hotel services / activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
• Assist outlet staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guest when requested.
• Perform related duties as requested by the management team

• Degree in hospitality or accounting or other related field
• At least 1 year working experience in a similar position, preferably in a 4* or 5* hotel
• Good knowledge and use of Greek and English both written and verbal (A second foreign language will be considered an asset)
• Proficient computer skills (knowledge of HIT WebPos will be considered an asset)
• Strong organisational and technical skills
• A good understanding of financial operating systems and procedures
• Strong influencing, inter-personal and communication skills
• Effective complaint handling
• Professional appearance and demeanor, including a neat and well-groomed appearance and the ability to maintain confidentiality
