UI Web Designer

We are looking for a user experience designer with strong interests and capabilities in the design and development of engaging user experiences. The ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication. This individual excels at providing both highly analytical as well as highly creative ideas to a design engagement. The candidate will also have extensive experience in a fast-paced and innovative development environment. A thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies is a must.

Responsibilities
- Executing interaction design and visual design
- Implementing mock-ups and wireframes on front-end web development applications
- Having strong conceptualization ability, strong visual communication ability, drawing skills and sketchbook technique
- Translating business needs to technical solutions

- One or more years of user experience design experience for software, Web applications which leverage emergent technologies, consumer electronics and/or mobile devices
- Strong working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and associated design tools
- Design and creation of interactive wireframe layouts and images for use in applications
- Knowledge of UI (User Interface) and web standards
- Exceptional design skills, production value and attention to detail and applicable to business need
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (in English and Greek at a minimum)
- Understanding of common software project management practices
- Understanding of browser memory management, performance tuning and profiling upon implementing design on a production environment
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize
- Fulfilled military obligations for male candidates
- Portfolio to accompany resume

Optional Skills
- University or college’s degree on a relevant subject
- JavaScript and client-side coding frameworks and libraries
- Adequate working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and SASS
