We are
seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance
team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in overseeing general
accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting
principles, and supporting financial decision-making. The ideal candidate is a
seasoned professional with excellent analytical skills, deep knowledge of
accounting regulations, and strong leadership qualities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting
operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
functions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and
annual financial statements and reports.
- Perform detailed reconciliations of
balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
- Lead the month-end and year-end
close processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Analyze complex financial data and
provide insights to support business decisions.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with
accounting standards, company policies, and regulations.
- Coordinate and manage audits (both
internal and external), ensuring proper documentation and adherence to
procedures.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting,
and financial planning activities.
- Oversee tax filings and liaise with
tax authorities and external auditors.
- Implement and improve accounting
systems and processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.
- Mentor and provide guidance to
junior accounting staff as necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of Greek Accounting Standards (Ε.Λ.Π.), MYDATA and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with automotive ERP system Incadea or Navision will be considered an asset.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English.
