memorable dining experience.
Job Role : As a
Restaurant Hostess at Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort you are the first point of
contact for guests entering the restaurant. Your primary responsibility is to
provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensure smooth seating, and assist in
coordinating the dining experience. Your role contributes to creating a
positive and memorable guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Welcome: Greet
and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant, providing a friendly and
professional demeanor.
- Reservations: Manage reservations and seating
arrangements to optimize the restaurant's occupancy while accommodating guest
preferences. Record reservation details and maintain an organized reservation
system.
- Seating: Escort guests to their tables,
ensuring a smooth and pleasant transition. Communicate with waiters to allocate
sections for smooth operation.
- Menu Presentation: Offer
menus and inform guests of daily specials, promotions, and wine selections.
Provide descriptions of menu items and assist with any dietary or special
requests.
- Guest Information:
Answer inquiries regarding the restaurant's offerings, hours of operation, and
special events. Provide information about the hotel's amenities and services.
- Cooperation with Waiters: Collaborate
with restaurant waiters and kitchen staff to coordinate guest seating and
ensure efficient table turnover. Communicate any special requests or guest
preferences.
- Guest Recognition:
Develop relationships with regular guests, recognize repeat guests.
- Guest Assistance: Address guest concerns or inquiries and assist in resolving any issues, such as
special seating requests or accommodations for guests with disabilities.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Ensure the hostess station is kept clean and organized.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's
degree in hospitality, tourism, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous
experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Excellent
knowledge of Greek and English languages. Third language will be considered
accordingly.
- Exceptional
communication
- Familiarity
with POS (Point of Sale) systems for order processing and cash handling.
- Ability
to prioritize tasks, work under pressure with provided resources, manage workload
using own initiative and sufficiently cover a multitask position.
- Availability
to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
