Our Barista is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional coffee quality and service to our guests. This position provides hotel guests and servers with quick and efficient beverage service with a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar. The Executive Bartender of Avaton Luxury Beach Hotel is Marco Maiorano, who is a senior bartender at the Scarfes Bar in London, one of the World's Best Bars.
Responsibilities:
- Provide an enjoyable, expertly served beverage or dining experience conforming to Relais & Chateaux standards of excellence for quality, professionalism, and friendliness
- Prepare and serve a selection of coffees, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending
- Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the lounge server using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; check completed orders with the guest’s original order
- Take orders from guests seated at the bar and lounge area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; maintain a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beers, ports, Armagnac, eau de vies, cognacs, and specialty drinks
- Maintain the appropriate levels of beverage stocks by monitoring purchases and sales, ensuring professional, efficient, and accurate service of all types of beverages following the recipes in standards, in order to completely satisfy our guests during their experience
- Ensure that the cellar is kept stocked, clean and in the appropriate operational order at all times
- Monitor that the bar equipment and wine basket, decanters, and ice bucket with stands are kept clean and in order
- Perform additional service side duties when needed
