Bartender

Mykonos Bay Resort & Villas is an art-designed luxury beach resort in Megali Ammos, Míkonos, just a few minutes from the center, offering breathtaking sunset views and authentic Greek hospitality. The white-washed property embodies Mykonian architecture and is located just a short distance from Mykonos town. The resort, established in 1985 and renovated again in 2023 with our modern Mediterranean Restaurant on top of our new big beach club, combines tradition and luxury services to provide a unique experience for guests around the pool, beach, and restaurant areas.

This is a seasonal, full-time, on-site role for a Bartender at Mykonos Bay Resort & Villas' Restaurant. The Bartender will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in the restaurant and beach club areas, assisting with food & beverage service, ensuring seamless communication with guests and colleagues, and supporting in basic food preparation tasks. Our restaurant has two spaces, indoors and outdoors with the capacity of 200 guests, serves Greek cuisine dishes, keeping the traditional and the modern aspect of Mediterranean vibe with international touches, an all-day open bar with a variety of spirits, cocktails and wines. The Bartender provides exceptional customer service to all the guests, has a proven experience behind bars in similar restaurants or luxurious hotels, has an eye for detail and passion for hospitality. The Bartender recommends the guests and assists them with their drinks order to ensure that they will be satisfied and enjoy the breathtaking view during sunset, the romantic atmosphere for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including signature cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic options
• Engage with guests, recommend drinks, and ensure exceptional service
• Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays
• Assess guests’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Ability to sell or influence others for upselling and suggestive selling
• Provide recommendations and suggestions to guest for choosing drinks and food of our menu
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area
• Follow standard recipes, portion control, and presentation standards
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system efficiently
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Perform other duties as and when assigned by the management
• Must be able to communicate in English writing and speaking and other languages are advantages
• Good personality and positive interpersonal skills required

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bartender in a 4/5* hotel or hospitality setting minimum 2 years
• Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Knowledge of different types of beverages, cocktail recipes, and mixology techniques.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing drinks
• Understanding of responsible alcohol service practices and compliance with regulations
• Certification in bartending or alcohol serving is an advantage
• Well groomed and professional appearance
