Core Network Assurance Engineer

Job Description

The holder of this role has the responsibility to monitor the Network elements that are under local scope and maintain a high level of knowledge of services provided to Vodafone customers. 

  • Identify and classify incidents as Incident management procedure imposes. Coordinate Incident management process ensuring that all relevant to incident technical teams are involved in its resolution and appropriate communication to management has been applied accordingly. 
  • Based on input from network management teams as well as from Customer Care, determine the service impact and the infrastructure components that are causing a service-disrupting incident.
  • Ensure proper allocation of resources in cooperation with functional group managers & Core Network Assurance Supervisor, for the efficient management of service affecting incidents. 
  • Initiate in cooperation with Core Network Assurance Supervisor & other relevant Technology management, the deployment of technical crisis & disaster recovery plans.  
  • Contribute with all the necessary technical information and expertise in case of an Incident relevant with Network entities or Services.
  • Keep record of the occurred Incidents according to local and global governance.
  • Initiate in cooperation with Core Network Assurance Supervisor & other relevant Technology management whenever is deemed necessary, the deployment of technical crisis & disaster recovery plans.  
  • Run change management process by identifying and assuring that no conflict of activities between relevant technical areas will be occurred, ensuring all the time that network changes are applied by following the principles that change management procedure imposes.
  • Be aware of approved weekly change management plans and monitor their proper execution 
  • Handle Roaming problems by interacting with VF-OPCOs and co-operative networks.
  • Perform all the necessary troubleshooting actions and tests together with adequate communication with foreign networks or local teams in case of problems related to inbound or outbound roaming or domestic network faults.
  • Resolve Customer Complaints tickets relevant with Core Network area and evaluate the emergent problems
  • Communicate with subscribers, for the resolution of Core Network area Customer Complaints, in polite and professional manner.

Απαραίτητα Προσόντα

Candidate Profile:

  • First degree or equivalent in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, Physics or Computer Science.
  • One (1) year experience in telecommunications or Computer Systems 
  • Very good knowledge of English Language
  • Motivate, encourage, and train others & work as part of a team
  • Be customer oriented
  • Be conscious of  company’s assets and financial & environmental issues 
  • Be compliant with information security requirements
  • Be punctual on working schedule, be open-minded to new ideas & have a professional appearance
