We are currently searching for a Quality Control Civil Inspector to join our project in Komotini, GR.
Role Summary:The ideal candidate will monitor the construction quality-assurance/quality-control (QA/QC) programs and will conduct detailed audits to assess the level of compliance with the QA systems, procedures, and related-quality activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Checks and reviews the plans and specifications for the proper construction and quality implementation at job site, performs pre-inspection to ensure that all installed materials are within the standard in conformance to applicable drawings and specs.
- Performs various checks and inspections as required and in line with the Inspection Test Plan, Project Specifications, applicable standards and concrete mix testing protocol requirements;
- Performs civil and structural inspections and tests, such as soil compaction, moisture content, aggregation, graduation, concrete slump, air entrainment, concrete compression, lines and grades surveys, bolt torques, and concrete curing.
- Interprets design plans and specifications to verify the work installed and performed in accordance with the contract documents.
- Produces activity reports as necessary to ensure that all QC activities have been fulfilled.
- Inspects and monitors piling installation to ensure location and bearing.
- Participates in the development of quality control reports and procedures as requested by the Construction QA/QC Manager.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of project execution to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents.
- Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
- Make sure the activities are conducted in strict respect of the Health and Safety project requirements and other HSE applicable standards.
- Monitor the construction activities against the contractual work schedule and in line with the project milestones and reports to its hierarchy accordingly.
