Senior Risk Management Officer & Data Governance (Ref. 5815/RMODT/ESS/GR)

Role Overview:

We are looking for a driven and proactive professional to lead the Risk Management function. This role entails strategic oversight of internal processes, contributing to executive committees, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory frameworks.

The ideal candidate will also play a critical role in driving data quality governance initiatives while leveraging advanced project management expertise to deliver successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide a holistic view of the Risk department processes, ensuring they align with organizational objectives.
• Monitor, assess, and present KPIs related to compliance, risk management, and data governance in management-level committees.
• Lead compliance projects and deliver them end to end, by conducting in-depth business analysis, developing detailed and actionable project specifications, managing timelines, resources, and stakeholders’ collaboration and ensuring the quality of deliverables during user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Design and implement robust data quality policies and governance frameworks by establishing effective data quality controls, and digitally mapping and visualizing organizational data flows using appropriate tools.
• Act as a central contact point for collaborations with internal departments on various strategic initiatives, managing relationships with external vendors to develop and implement system updates and new specifications, and coordinating with HQs and national Regulatory Authorities to ensure compliance and alignment.

• 5 years of experience in risk management/ data governance or related roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Risk Management, Data Governance, or a related field.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance tools.
• Proven project management expertise in leading complex, cross-functional initiatives. Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly regarded.
• Exceptional proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of effective collaboration across departments and external partners.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on process improvement.
