Sani S.A., a Complex of 5* hotels & a Private Marina in Chalkidiki, is seeking to recruit professionals for 2017 summer season at the position of CHEF (SCH017)
The role
Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Chef is responsible for assisting in leading kitchen staff while working in all areas of the kitchen, including food production, purchasing and kitchen sanitation. Additionally he contributes to ensuring employee and guest satisfaction while maintaining the operational budget and following the hotel standards.
Responsibilities
- Run overall kitchen operations when executive chef is away
- Perform all duties of Culinary and related kitchen area employees in high demand times
- Oversee production and preparation of culinary items
- Manage food purchasing and storage; Maintain food handling and sanitation standards
- Help in the creation of new recipes and menus
- Work with Restaurant and Banquet departments to coordinate service and timing of events and meals
- Lead shifts while personally prepare food items. Ensure all employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms
- Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
- Check quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met
- Supervise staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met; Conduct training and performance appraisals when appropriate
