Adecco is currently seeking on behalf of its client, an international well-known company, for a dynamic professional to cover the following position:
Financial Analyst
(Based in Thessaloniki)
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, prepare, and analyze financial data for planning and forecasting. Run models, validate revenue & expense data.
- Develop and validate financial reports by gathering data from various sources, ensuring accuracy & reconciling discrepancies.
- Create & update presentations with relevant financial data and insights for leadership and key stakeholders.
- Perform thorough data validation to ensure consistency & accuracy across financial reports and KPIs.
- Consolidate financial reports and submit results with commentary for review by business partners.
- Identify, categorize, and research business-related variances, ensuring appropriate follow-up & resolution.
- Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies by collaborating with finance and market colleagues.
- Determine reporting needs, construct shared views, and maintain a repository of standard reports.
- Engage with finance leadership & cross-functional teams to support financial reporting and decision-making.
- Continuously enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency & effectiveness through process optimizations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (finance/accounting/ mathematics or related experience)
- Relevant work experience (2-3 years)
- Fluent in English Language
- Basic understanding of finance IT system architecture
- Management Reporting & analysis process experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of various financial systems & financial reporting aspects (is preferred)
- Competency with spreadsheets & financial modelling (comfort with data manipulation and financial systems)
- Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
- Excellent analytical skills/ attention to detail/ time management skills
