Koia all suite well being resort is looking to recruit for season 2025 a passionate, well-educated and experienced Maître – Service Manager. Koia is a high standard hotel, offering buffet and a la carte services to high end clients.
Responsibilities:
- Learning the concept, adapt the policies of the restaurant department with the concept, train the staff on the concept, monitor the staff regarding the storytelling of the concept to the clients and the relative efficacy.
- Organize all restaurant, bar and beach staff, allocating tasks, organizing the shifts
- Deep knowledge of all the service techniques, wine and beverage and ability in training the staff
- Selling capacity and train the staff
- Know-how on serving high end clients
- Cross selling of the services of other departments in the hotel, and upselling in the restaurant and bars
- On time preparation of the restaurant, check cleanliness and the correct handle of the equipment
- Organize the slots and monitors the bookings
- Oriented in high end service of the guest minimizing the complaints and increasing the positive reviews
- Deep knowledge of oenology, food pairing, presenting and serving wine and champagne, increase the sales of wines and Champaigne
- Flexibility on the use of computer systems, pda’s, pos.
- Monitoring the appearance, the cleanliness and the well dressing of the staff.
Qualifications for Maître & Service Manager
- 2-3 years working experience in a relevant position in 5* hotel
- Excellent command of Greek and English language, knowledge of additional languages is a plus
- Computer literacy
- Great organizational skills
- Ability to delegate tasks
- Great leadership abilities
- Deep knowledge of the food and service industry
- Customer oriented mindset
- Ability to communicate with all levels of staff
- Ability to create reports to give to ownership
- Excellent command of Greek and English language, knowledge of additional languages is a plus
- Knowledge of PMS and Warehouse software
- Knowledge of Revenue Analysis would be an asset.
- Able to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
- Accuracy in reporting and data registration.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Pro-active approach; taking personal responsibility and initiative to prevent or resolve problems.
- Mastery in delegating multiple tasks.
- Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices.
- Integrity, reliability, and accurate reporting.
- Presentable and well dressed strictly wears hotel’s uniform only, well ironed and cleaned daily. The maintenance and the cleanliness of the uniform is staff’s responsibility.
