Job Description:
The University of Nicosia seeks an Admissions Officer, for the offices in Athens, Greece, who will facilitate the admissions process while providing high quality information, advice and guidance to enable informed decision making. The Admissions Officer is expected to contribute to the development and delivery of recruitment activity and the achievement of the University’s recruitment and enrolment targets. This role will be predominately focused on Greece recruitment, but there may be occasional opportunities to support the recruitment of other EU students. Successful candidates will take a lead role in building vital relationships with key external stakeholders, including prospective students, agents, parents, and careers advisors. Recruitment activity will take place through both digital and face to face engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains high quality of the services provided; hence ensuring good customer care practices and creating happy customers
- Contributes to the development of business plans and work closely with the Director of Admissions and other admission officers to execute business development initiatives
- Responsible for planning and executing recruitment events to attract potential applicants. This may involve coordinating open day events, or information sessions, as well as developing marketing materials and outreach strategies to reach a wider audience.
- Attends conferences, education fairs, workshops, seminars and other events organized all around Greece and abroad if requested (for both on Ground programmes and Distance Learning programmes)
- Equally promotes University of Nicosia programmes
- Visits High School Counselors, agents and other associates and ensures the adequate provision of promotional material to all
- Travels all around Greece and abroad if requested to attract potential applicants.
- Identifies new agents and gatekeepers in Greece
- Prepares proposals and makes agreements with counselors and other business associates in Greece.
- Keeps records of all enquiries utilizing the CRM platform
- Reviews and evaluates applications. The admissions officer will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating applications from prospective students to determine their eligibility for admission. This includes verifying that all required materials are submitted, assessing academic credentials and achievements, reviewing personal statements, and considering relevant experience or background.
- Responsible for answering inquiries from prospective students, parents, and other stakeholders regarding the admissions process, admission requirements, and other relevant information. This may involve responding to emails, phone calls, or in-person meetings.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as academic departments and housing, to ensure a smooth admissions process for admitted students. This may involve coordinating with these departments to provide relevant information or assistance to students, or resolving any issues that may arise during the admissions process.
- Maintains accurate records of all applicant data, including application materials, admissions decisions, and enrollment data. This may involve working with admissions software or databases to ensure that all data is up-to-date and accurate.
- Prepares Acceptance Letters to be sent to students
- Prepares the necessary material to be sent to collaborators, schools, agents etc.
- Handles and coordinates all applications, open days and any issues concerning the Department of Admissions
- Monitors competitor activity, sector and geographic trends, draws conclusions, assesses implications and prepares reports
- Tracks and reports on the actual number of applicants, admitted, registered/non registered students
- Collects, monitors feedback and maintains a high degree of client/prospect and other associate satisfaction
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and regulations in the field of higher education admissions, including changes to admission requirements, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Any other relevant to the Admission duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions
Academic Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, Sales and Marketing or in any other relevant field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management systems
- At least 2 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing, Business Development, Communication and/or Public Relations.
- Excellent knowledge of both Greek and English language
