H&S and Procurement Officer

Randstad on behalf of Svitzer Hellas is looking for a H&S and Procurement Officer that will be based in the hub of Alexandroupoli.

• Collaborate with the team to fulfill purchase requests according to approved guidelines
• Provide advice on marine safety matters, marine management, and operational systems to the business as required
• Support safety training as required and produce relevant monthly and other reports in relation to all activities
• Compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 requirements in relation to maritime regulations and HMS
• Provide induction of employees into the Company Safety Management System and related HSE areas, including internal training on Quality and Safety related issues
• Ensure accident records, statistics and minutes produced by Port Safety Committees, are monitored and maintained.
• HSEQ Performance data analysis, production of relevant monthly / quarterly reports
• Support to Marine Standards during/after incidents
• Country lead for Svitzer Global Safety Day
• Ensure compliance with purchase policies and record purchases in the tracking system
• Monitor deadlines, budgets, and quality standards, communicating changes as needed
• Provide procurement guidance to department managers, facilitating effective inventory management
• Maintain purchase records, respond to inquiries, and arrange meetings with key suppliers
• Assist to maintain a supplier database of vendors and contacts within the industry in conjunction with the Group Requirements, and support project studies and tenders, if required.

• BSc degree
• Master degree will be an asset
• Proven experience in a similar position
• Experience working in marine/maritime environment, will be an asset
• Thorough understanding of health and safety, experience of Marine Standards
• Computer literacy (MS Office, Internet)
• Excellent knowledge of English
• Knowledge of CRM, ERP software
