QHSSE Manager.
Main Job Responsibilities/ Duties - Prepares the annual action plan needed to achieve Goal Zero, in collaboration with the Business Units.
- Investigates and reviews the implementation of the annual QHSSE plan and ensures the implementation of QHSSE requirements according to the Greek Legislation throughout the business activities.
- Develops and continuously improves QHSSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and respective reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develops, implements, and improves QHSSE practices, processes, and procedures to support business operations in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & 45001.
- Identifies inefficient process (derived from ISO requirements, audits, local safety committee meetings) and proposes corrective actions.
- Undertakes QHSSE inspections when required regarding activities of both internal personnel and third parties (contractors). Follows up on the preventive and/ or corrective actions identified and monitors the timely closing of any actions in coordination with other business units.
- Maintains coordination and effective working relationships with business units i.e., Operation & Maintenance intervenes when safety requirements are not met.
- Heads the QHSSE incident investigations and prepares required reports in consultation with management.
- Develops the Permit to Work (PTW) Management System, reviews it on an annual basis, and proposes developments if needed.
- Carries out internal audits to ensure PTW system’s implementation.
- Develops, facilitates, and reviews QHSSE risk assessments for routine and non-routine activities in consultation with the operations team.
- Develops, implements, and encourages a behavioral-based safety culture in the organization through safe job observations and top management inspections.
- Provides the necessary insights and participates in the Business continuity planning (BCP).
- Supervises the regular inspection or/and certification of emergency response equipment.
- Responsible for PPE, Spill kits, LOTO materials etc. inventory and for communicating relevant needs to be procured.
- Ensures that all employees, contractors, and site visitors receive QHSSE inductions as appropriate.
- Trains, assists, and develops company colleagues according to relevant QHSSE competencies and supports the provision of occupational health within the business.
Knowledge and Skills requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as a QHSSE officer or related position
- Experience in Combined Cycle Power Plants or Oil & Gas sector is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related Field
- Excellent knowledge in MS Office Suite
- Proficient in the Greek and English Language (verbal and written)
- Decision making and ability to manage multiple priorities - effective prioritization of competing issues, recognizing relevant constraints and opportunities.
- Team playing approach and ability to cooperate with various stakeholders from all hierarchical levels.
- Ability to visit areas at heights and in confined spaces.
